After a long battle with prostate cancer, my husband, Dean, entered the final stages of his life in December 2022. We set him up at home with the help of Big Bend Hospice. It was clear to me that I would not be able to take care of him alone. I reached out to several friends whose husbands had died, knowing that they had caretakers in the final stages. I hired Tangee and she was wonderful! Because Dean declined so rapidly, she was only with me about two weeks. I could not have made it without her. Ms. Tangee Allen, owner of A'myracles Senior Care, LLC., has asked me to send you a referral for her company. It is with utmost confidence that I can recommend Mrs. Allen and her ladies to you! When I met Mrs. Allen several years ago she had been helping Mr. Leon Cassels with his Parkinsons illness. The Cassels family have been friends of mine since Leon High School way back in the late 1960's.
I watched how Mrs. Allen and her ladies gave loving and superior care to Leon and how she comforted and cared about his family. A few years later I needed help with my brother who was returning home after surgery. My brother had lost his ability to carry on a conversation due to a stroke in 2007, but was able to do most things for himself until his surgery.
Mrs. Allen and her ladies came to my brother's home and helped him recuperate. They learned how to communicate with him, how to make him laugh and how to persuade him to do his rehab. (He was very lazy) and didn't want to do what the doctors told him, but Tangee (Mrs. Allen) wouldn't let him get away with that.
They spent days and nights at his home until he was able to do everything for himself. My brother's son lives in Nashville, so wasn't able to spend time with his dad, and I, as POA needed help to maintain my health.
Fast forward to December 2024, when my brother fell and had to be taken to the emergency room. From there he went to rehab, from rehab to the hospital, from the hospital he was sent home in February under Hospice care. That's when I called Tangee for help. I hired her and the ladies of A'myracles Senior Care 24/7.
They saved my life by giving my brother such careful care. They cooked for him, joked with him, gave him the nic-name of JT, kept his FSU hat close by so he could wear it at any time, gave him his favorite drink (Coke) met his physical needs and comforted me.
Tangee became like a member of the Teague family. She gave me advice and hugs as we took my brother's "journey" together. The day my brother died Tangee called me to come to his house and when I arrived she was by his side holding his hand and softly playing Christian music on her cell phone.
Later that afternoon my brother passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus. Tangee and I cried together.
